Titan Tank Warranty

Quality, Versatility and Longevity describe only a few of the features of the "Titan" Series Corrugated Galvanized Steel Shop Built Tanks. The Titan Shop Built Tanks are backed by an exclusive 10 Year warranty! These tanks are built tough.

In today's modern world of automated technology, Man still puts his trust in the work of his own two hands. There might be faster and easier ways of making water tanks, but because Accu-Tanks & Equipment Co. considers water to be of vital importance, our Titan Corrugated Water Storage Tanks are hand assembled with proven methods that have provided durable quality tanks for over 100 years.

The manufacturer shall warrant it's potable water storage tanks against defects in workmanship or materials that cause either leakage for a period of ten (10) years from the original date of installation when properly installed and maintained for use with potable water. The warranties on equipment or accessories furnished with the tank, are limited to the respective manufacturer's warranties for their products.
All obligations and liabilities under this warranty are limited to repairing or replacing -at manufacturer's option- the tank at it's original installation site. Repairs or replacements are made subject to field inspection by a factory representative and customer compliance with the installation and maintenance guidelines. Replacement products may be subject to normal freight, handling, and installation charges.
Requests for service under this warranty shall be made by contacting the manufacturer in writing as soon as possible after the discovery of any alleged defect.
Installation of temporary storage facilities, if needed, during the course of repairs or replacement, are not included and shall be the responsibility of the user.
An extended warranty is available on a pro ratio basis, for all replacement tanks. The formula is as follows: a credit of ten percent (10%) per year remaining on the original tank warranty shall be discounted from the current tank list price. The user may use this credit toward the purchase of any like or larger tank.
This warranty does not apply to any tank that has been subjected to negligence, alteration, vandalism, civil disturbances, or acts of god. The manufacturer does not authorize other persons to extend any warranty with respect to its products, nor assume any liability for unauthorized warranties.
This warranty supersedes any warranty not dated or bearing an earlier date.
Expressly excluded from this warranty are defects caused by electrolytic or bacterial conditions, misuse, abuse, or improper installation, application, employment, or operation of the tank. Damage caused by unauthorized repair is not covered by this warranty.
No liability for consequential damages will be accepted. The manufacturer will not assume responsibility for contingent liability for alleged failure of its products.

Installation

Tank site should be located on firm, compacted, or native soil.
Tank should be carefully set on a level foundation of ¾" crushed rock or pea gravel, 4"-6" deep with a minimum 1 foot radius from the tank wall. When seismic design considerations require anchoring to a concrete ring wall or slab, a layer of ½" asphalt impregnated fiberboard, between tank bottom and cement, is necessary.
Use dielectric couplings on all metal piping connections to tank to prevent possible electrolysis.
When attaching electric controls or wires to tank, care should be taken to prevent cables and control mounting brackets from contacting tank. Use insulated brackets and other non-conductive materials. Do not use metal anode probes for level control.

Maintenance

Water should be changed every three to six months with fresh water. It is preferable that water be circulated as often as possible. Use water for irrigation, cleaning, or other uses, then replenish tank supply with fresh water.
If your tank is equipped with an automatic fill shut-off float valve, periodically check the adjustment of the float arm attached to the float ball to prevent overflow.
If the water supply contains "hard" or corrosive minerals, tank interior may require periodic cleaning and re-coating. Inspect tank interior and exterior coatings annually, clean and re-coat if needed. Consult with your local factory representative for additional recommendations if necessary. Under normal water conditions, tank coatings should last the life of the tank (typically 15-25 years).
